ABOUT EJ
Emmanuel Johnson is the first student in the illustrious history of North Carolina A&T State University to receive the prestigious Fullbright scholarship. He is currently pursuing my PhD at the University of Southern California in Computer Science with a focus on Artificial Intelligence. He holds a Masters degree in Robotics from the University of Birmingham, England through a Fulbright Post-Graduate Award.
He obtained his Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Engineering and a minor in Philosophy from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University. During his undergraduate career at North Carolina A&T State University, Emmanuel distinguished himself both as a scholar and leader.
He served in various leadership roles such as President of the Beta Epsilon Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc., the Chancellor’s Academic Review Commission, and the Regional Board of the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE). During summer breaks from his studies at A&T, he conducted research in robotics at the University of Michigan and at Carnegie Mellon University and his first internship after the University of Birmingham was with Nasa Jet propulsion pack in Florida. Ultimately, Emmanuel plans to obtain a doctorate degree in robotics and use his expertise to build a comprehensive robotics program that impacts inner-city youth. And get this, He is is only 25 years old.
