ABOUT MITCHELL

Greetings! My name is Mitchell D. Brown, and I am currently a law clerk on the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. I previously clerked on the United States District Court for the District of South Carolina.

I graduated from NYU School of Law in May 2017 and I am very interested in civil rights law, specifically voting rights. While at NYU I was a Root-Tilden-Kern Scholar and the Chair of the Black Allied Law Students Association (BALSA).

I am a 2012 graduate of North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University where I received my BS in Business Economics and a minor in Philosophy. During my time at A&T I was the 2011-2012 Student Government Association (SGA) Vice-President for Internal Affairs, the 2010-2011 SGA Parliamentarian, and a member of the Beta Epsilon Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.
